What do you need to know before your first (or subsequent) Reiki session?
Great news! There isn't a long list of things to gather, do, or think...you can come just as you are. You will either be seated in a chair or will be lying down, so wearing comfortable clothing is encouraged. You may be asked to remove watches, bracelets, etc. to allow for greater energy flow. The length of your session depends on what you and your practitioner have decided upon; many sessions are 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length. Whether you eat before your session is a matter of personal choice; some people prefer having a light snack before arriving, while others follow a vegetarian diet the day before their appointment. You may find it helpful to visualize energy flowing effortlessly throughout your body - almost like a head start before your session.
